FeedbackPulse Continuous Feedback

Continuous Feedback allows any User to send kudos or constructive feedback to another User at any time, outside of formal Review Cycles.

  • Any User can send feedback to any other User in the same Organization.
  • Each piece of feedback has a type: Kudos or Constructive.
  • The Sender can choose whether to submit anonymously.
  • Organization settings control whether kudos can appear on the Kudos Wall.
  • A Feedback item is created by one User (the Sender) and addressed to one User (the Recipient).
  • A Feedback item belongs to one Organization.
  • A Feedback item has one type: Kudos or Constructive.

The anonymous toggle controls whether the Sender’s name is shown. It does not create a separate private, manager-visible, or public visibility level for each individual item.

SettingWhat happens
Submit Anonymously onThe Sender’s name is hidden. The Recipient sees that the feedback came from a colleague.
Submit Anonymously offThe Sender’s name can be shown to the Recipient and, where applicable, on the Kudos Wall.

Kudos can appear on the Kudos Wall only when the Organization has enabled the Public Kudos Wall.

Admins can choose one of these Kudos Wall modes:

Kudos Wall modeWhat appears on the wall
OffNo kudos appear on a public wall.
NamedOnly non-anonymous kudos appear with names visible.
AnonymousApproved kudos appear with names hidden.

If Admin Approval is enabled, kudos must be approved by an Admin before they appear on the wall.

Constructive feedback does not appear on the Kudos Wall. It is sent privately to the Recipient when recipient notifications are enabled.

Admins and configured recognition notification recipients may still receive recognition notifications and review recognition activity in the Recognition Inbox. Do not use Constructive feedback as a confidential HR case-management channel.

  1. Click Recognition in the main navigation, then click Give Recognition
  2. Select the Recipient
  3. Choose the type: Kudos or Constructive
  4. Write the feedback
  5. Choose whether to submit anonymously
  6. Click Submit

How Continuous Feedback relates to Reviews

Section titled “How Continuous Feedback relates to Reviews”

Continuous Feedback and Performance Reviews are separate systems. Continuous Feedback items are not shown inside a Manager’s Evaluation or a Self-Assessment, and Continuous Feedback is not aggregated into Analytics scores.

Managers who want a fuller picture of an Employee’s contributions during a review period should check Continuous Feedback separately, alongside the Peer Review and Performance Review results.

  • Feedback cannot be edited after submission.
  • Feedback cannot be deleted by the Sender. Admins can remove inappropriate feedback.
  • A User cannot send feedback to themselves.
  • There is no limit on the number of feedback items a User can send or receive.
  • Continuous Feedback is separate from Peer Reviews. It is informal and not tied to a Review Cycle.

Q: What is the difference between Continuous Feedback and a Peer Review? A: Continuous Feedback is informal, initiated by any User at any time, and not tied to a deadline. A Peer Review is structured, assigned by a Manager, tied to a Review Cycle, and has a deadline. Continuous Feedback is free-form; Peer Reviews use structured questions.

Q: Can I send anonymous Continuous Feedback? A: Yes. Turn on Submit Anonymously before submitting. The Recipient will see that the feedback came from a colleague, not from your named account.
