Survey Scheduling Time Zones

FeedbackPulse uses your browser’s time zone to schedule surveys. You don’t pick a time zone from a menu — FeedbackPulse detects it automatically and shows it in the Schedule preview on the Scheduling and Review steps. Any start date, end date, or recurring time you type is read in that time zone.

The time zone appears in the Schedule preview box on the Scheduling step (and again on the Review step). It reads:

Uses America/New_York from your browser timezone (UTC-05:00).

The send line in the same box repeats it, for example: “Survey will send immediately after launch (America/New_York, your browser timezone, UTC-05:00).”

There is no separate time zone setting or dropdown to hunt for — the Schedule preview is the one place the time zone is shown.

QuestionAnswer
Where does the time zone come from?Automatically detected from the browser on the device you’re creating the survey with.
Can I choose a different one manually? No. To schedule for another region, either change your device’s time zone or enter the local time that matches your target zone.
When does the time zone matter?Only when you set a Schedule Start, Schedule End, or a Recurring schedule. A survey launched immediately with no future timing doesn’t need one.
How are the times stored? The time you type is interpreted in the detected zone and converted to a single UTC moment for sending. The preview shows that moment back to you in your browser’s time zone.

Because the time zone follows the device, two admins in different regions editing the same survey can see different local times — but the survey still sends at one fixed moment.

Fixing “Choose a valid scheduling timezone before launching this survey”

Section titled “Fixing “Choose a valid scheduling timezone before launching this survey””

This error means FeedbackPulse couldn’t read a valid time zone from your browser while you were setting a scheduled or recurring time. The Schedule preview turns red and the Launch Survey button stays disabled until it’s resolved.

Quick fix:

  1. Check that your computer or device has a real, current time zone set in its date-and-time settings (not “manual/none” and not a custom offset).
  2. Reload the survey page so FeedbackPulse re-reads the time zone.
  3. Return to the Scheduling step, confirm the Schedule preview now shows a time zone (for example, Uses Europe/London from your browser timezone), then continue to launch.

”Refresh the schedule preview before launching this survey”

Section titled “”Refresh the schedule preview before launching this survey””

If you see this message instead, the schedule was changed after the preview was generated, or the preview expired. Reopen the Scheduling step, wait for the Schedule preview to finish updating (it says “Preview updating. Launch is paused until this finishes.”), then launch.

Q: Do recipients receive the survey in their own local time? A: The survey sends at one specific moment for everyone. The Schedule preview shows that moment in your browser’s time zone so you know exactly when invitations go out.

Q: I set 9:00 AM but a teammate in another region sees a different time. Is that a bug? A: No. 9:00 AM is read in the time zone of the device you created the survey on. It’s the same instant worldwide — it just displays differently by region.

Q: The time zone shown isn’t where I want the survey to send. What do I do? A: Change your device’s time zone to the target region (then reload the page), or enter the local start time that corresponds to your target zone. FeedbackPulse always schedules from the detected browser time zone.

Q: Where do I set an organization-wide default time zone? A: There’s currently no workspace-level time zone setting for survey scheduling. Each survey’s schedule uses the time zone of the admin creating it, shown in the Schedule preview.
